An active member of the University’s Commerce syllabus reconstruction committee in the year 2005.

Have been an active member in Board of Studies in Commerce between 2004 and 2007, and in the management department from 2007

Appointed as the Controller of Examinations in Gurunanak College a 46 year old Institution from the year 2015.

Examination

Evaluation of students for both UG and PG is based on both Continuous Assessment and the End Semester Examination held at the end of each Semester. The weightage of marks is indicated below:

Continuous Assessment

  •   Continuous Internal Assessment is carried out by the department.
  •   Students are expected to take all testing units that are administered to them, i.e. CIA test, Model examination and additional components which may include Seminar / Assignment / Project Work / any other.
  •   Minimum mark required for passing in the Continuous Assessment is 20.

Retests will be given only for those students who have missed the tests because of participation in college-sponsored activities such as NCC, NSS and Sports. These tests will be held before the commencement of the End Semester examination. Students must apply for the retest in the prescribed forms, through the Dean’s office.

End Semester Examination

  •   Assessment will be in the form of a comprehensive examination for each paper at the end of each semester.
  •   Every student should register for the examination, paying the prescribed fees within the stipulated time.
  •   A student will be permitted to take the End Semester Examination provided she has a minimum attendance of 75% per paper and has completed the Continuous Assessment requirements of test / assignments / seminars / project work etc.
