A seminar entitled “Career Development Programme” held on 26th July 2016 was conducted by Mrs. Varsha Kishore-People Skills Instructor at Maersk Training India Private Limited. The dept. conducted two days workshop on the 30th and 31st August 2016, on  advanced topics in “IT INDUSTRY”.  The topics covered were cloud computing, ERP-SAP Logistics, PHP, Android Mobile PC Assembling, Photoshop, Big Data, Android mobile applications and Software testing. The eminent resource persons were Mr.InfantJernaldDebin, (Cloud consultant, CTS), Mr.Palani, Senior Consultant,  Katasol IT Consultancy Pvt, Ltd., Ms. S. Priyatharshini, (Software Trainer, TCS), Mr. J.Jeyakumar (Network Trainer, IIHI, Mr. Andrews Illavendhan, Multi Media trainer, Mr. Praveen Kumar, IT Analyst, TCS, Mr.VickramAsokan, Managing Director, CREDO Systemz, Mr. S. Karthikeyan, Test Lead, Version Data Services.


Formal Inauguration for the “DO IT-2017”, an event to inculcate,  kindle,  hone and to showcase the talent of budding BCA students, was held on 6th February 2017.


The grand valedictory of “DO IT-2017”, was organized on 15th February 2017.Mr.AnnaDurai ,owner of Amazing Auto was the chief guest. The chief guest in his address highlighted the importance of hard work, discipline and importance of technology in innovation and mentioned the importance of creativity, which had helped him in taking his business to the next level .


“Food Festival – 2015-1st Edition” was organised on 3rd September 2015. Elaborate preparations of aesthetically balanced diet were displayed and smartly marketed by the students of the B.C.A Department, under the guidance of Mrs.V.Devi, Dean(Students)and Head, Dept. of BCA. Over 30 food stalls were organized by vibrant students. Around 4000 students visited the stalls and relished the eateries.

This mega fest was organized with the primary objective of encouraging team spirit and inculcating social responsibility amongst students. The profits of the food fest were donated to Guru Nanak College’s in-house “Mid-day Meal Scheme (Langar)”, which caters to 350 economically backward students of the college on all working days of the college.

A conspicuous Symposium “DO IT 2016” was organised on 26th February 2016 the eminent Chief Guest and the resource person Mr. Solomon Rajesh George, Organization Head, Pepper Tap motivated students with a philosophical vision to understand and learn the technological



A (CTE) Consignment tracking executive, of Premier course for competency training (PCFCT) –conducted LSC (Logistic Skill Council) Course based on Logistics trained the students to attend viva-voce.
